Dort wurde dieser Tage etwas Interessantes festgestellt:
In GB, some things are Royal, because they once belonged to or were done by the monarch, or now have her/him as Patron. Others are National because they cover the entire country.

I leave it as an exercise for the student to speculate why we have a Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, but a National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children.
